B. B. Crowninshield perhaps does not come to mind today,  as easily as other American boat designers of his generation. However, he was well renowned and from the golden age of yachting in the USA. He was famous for his designs of day sailers and racing boats. The Dark Harbor is one of his most beautifully evocative creations, originally designed in 1908, and still popular in New England. A pure racing machine of great beauty with a very useful cuddy cabin.

We now offer this very versatile yacht here in the UK. Intended primarily for coastal sails in the afternoon, and for racing when the mood takes you, these boats have often been used for coastal cruising, the low cabin trunk has room for two transom berths. It is a boat that will certainly turn heads and prompt admiring comments from on lookers.

The design has a roomy cockpit either as a self draining cockpit or a deeper cockpit with thwarts is possible for more more comfort while seated.
