We sold this boat at the Classic Boat Auction on Saturday, 3rd June 2017  Beale Park and we are looking for more like it.

Early Edwardian Thames Single Rowing Skiff

A lovely example of a Thames rowing skiff complete with velvet cushions, a pair of  oars with leathers and traditional wicker seat backed chair make this a great buy of one of the most romantic of Thames river craft.  All it needs is a polish down and touch up with a coat of varnish will easily see her looking her very best again.

She is constructed from mahogany planking on oak. She has the bronze swivels instead of tholepins which make her very pleasant to row and easy to manoeuvre especially when coming alongside.

This skiff was previously owned by an Eton School Master, and was bought in the early 1970’s and used regularly up to 1984. After this she was left unused although about 2002 she underwent a restoration to bring her up to the condition you see today.

The owner is willing to deliver the boat to the buyers home within a 100 mile radius from Beale Park on Sunday 4th June, or alternatively, can also offer storage included in the price up to 30th September near to Henley-on-Thames. The price also includes a wooden frame roof rack.
