A Chris Craft of this vintage, style and condition is a very rare find this side of the "pond". So we are very pleased to have secured such a great example which will be sure to prove very popular. There was only 433 of this type originally made.

The boat is called Early Years it is a 19 foot Chris Craft Barrel Back with two bench seats manufactured in 1940 and restored in the 1990 from 1933-1934. She has a new V8 5.7L engine fitted in 2011.

The installed engine is a Indmar 5.7L V8 petrol which is the marine version of a GMC Corvette engine as used in Mastercraft boats and others. The engine out replacement job was used to replace the old steel gas tank which had rusted inside though looked ok outside with a new purpose fitted synthetic gas tank and all peripherals such as hoses fittings etc inside and out were replaced at this time.

The engine has been used for only 30 hours approx in late season 2012 and Summer 2013. When not in use it was stored in a heated warehouse. It remained in this state until late 2018 with the engine winterised.

The boat was completely refurbished in Biscayne Bay Boat Works in 2003. Pennant and USA flag pole/stern navigation lights supplied by them.

For 30 years of its life when it was in Florida it is believed to have been kept in temperature controlled storage and not used and this accounts for such solid condition of the boat throughout.

We can also provide an option at small extra cost to sell with it the original Chrysler engine if required.

The boat comes with its own American double braked axle trailer
